old is old

I've been going through stuff to assemble together for the portfolio I plan to send in to AAU, here are some pieces that, for some reason or another aren't going in, but I thought were still fun or pictures that taught me a lot as I did them.

Had weird dream: OZ World

Dreamt that the wizard of Oz was all tainted

Like that they were split down the middle, one half was normal and the other half looked like it was drying out or diseased or warped in some way, except for Glinda. She was half Good Witch of the East and half Wicked Witch of the West (she tended to wear half pink half green, and that was the ONLY way you could tell).
I dreamt that the Tin Man had to drink blood, since he had a heart, but no way to sustain it. So
The Wonderful Wizard is created. He comes to be when they sacrifice the Man Behind the Curtain. The Wizard is just a face in a mirror though, he doesn't have a body. He acts as the main source of communication between Dorothy and co and the Witch
Dorothy's a bit of a BAMF, but the disease thing is splitting her right down the middle. Half of her is normal and the other half sort of looks like a drying out corn husk, or jerky. She's also a little blind to all the bad stuff the Witch orders them to do, she's so wrapped up and enthralled with the Glinda side of the witch to even notice the Wicked side of her.
I think the Witch promises to help fight off the disease that's getting to everyone if they do as she says.

The Cowardly Lion didn't show up much. I remember him being there, but being very scraggly and looking like a puppet. He was very twitchy and the Tinman bit him for some blood and had to pull a gross amount of fur out of his mouth.
However I decided that Cowardly gets his bravery from liquid courage. He's a bit of a drunk. He drinks to escape from the hell hole Oz has turned into. So while he's brave enough to go out and do the crazy missions required of him, he's too afraid to deal with what is truly going on around him.

I decided the Scarecrow is going to be some sort of idiot savant
He didn't show up much either, but I remember the Tinman carrying him around and telling him it was ok.
and I also decided that the disease is caused by the poppy plants the Witch laid, and that OZ is safe behind some sort of bubble.
That's why people are too afraid to leave

The Witch would order Dorothy and her company to go out and.. get people or do things of questionable repute. Sometimes they would find distaste in their orders, but would always carry them out. Occasionally they would wonder about the morality or ethics of their commands but then again, what else could they do? Dorothy's blinded by the Glinda side of the witch, Cowardly drinks his worries away and needs the jobs to pay for his booze, the Tinman needs blood and this gig is the best way for him to get it, and the Scarecrow is unable to fend for himself on his own so he sticks with them for safety.

The flying monkeys are like those CCTV things or little fuzzy spies. Bugs all over the city that report back to the Witch.
